Interior Design & Build in Kenya
One studio holds the design, the procurement and the site. No gap between designer and contractor for a problem to fall into.
What design and build covers
The standard arrangement is a designer who draws and a contractor who builds. When something does not work on site, each points at the other, and the client absorbs the cost and the delay. It is the most common way interior projects in Kenya go wrong.
Design and build removes the gap. We produce the design, we procure the materials, and we coordinate the site — so when a wall turns out to be forty millimetres out of square, the person who has to solve it is the person who drew it.

Frequently asked
Is design and build more expensive than hiring separately?
Usually not, once you account for the cost of coordination failures. A single accountable party removes the variations that come from drawings being interpreted differently on site.
Can I use my own contractor?
Yes. Take our design service and we will produce a drawing package your contractor can build from, and we can supervise on your behalf if you want that oversight.
Do you work outside Nairobi?
Yes, we work across Kenya. Projects further out need the programme planned around travel and supply logistics, which we build into the schedule from the start.
How do payments work?
Payments are staged against agreed project milestones, set out clearly in the proposal before you commit.
What happens if something goes wrong on site?
We solve it. That is the point of the arrangement. You get told what happened, what it means for cost and programme, and what we are doing about it.
Ready to start?
Tell us about the space and your budget range. You do not need drawings or measurements — we survey the space and produce the floor plans ourselves.
